Stephen Coffee plays acoustic guitar, electric guitar and harmonica for Daystar since joining in 2003, as well as writing and arranging.
He has a passion to influence lives and to be used by God through praise and worship, and has been in active music ministry for over ten years. In 1998 he organized a group to play for a class for single parents at Second Baptist’s Woodway campus, and from there came other opportunities to minister at homeless shelters, assisted living and youth centers.
"Joining the Daystar Project was an answered prayer," Stephen says. "I am thankful to serve with these uniquely talented and diverse members, and contribute to what I call the character of the Daystar Project – a mind for music with a heart for ministry.”
Stephen lives in Houston and is blessed with four adult children who live in the Austin area, Katherine, Elizabeth, Benjamin and Jennifer.
